Director of Operations and Programs
Logan joined MCI in 2017 as the Director of Operations and Programs, after more than a decade of experience in education and primary research. He is an award-winning teacher, scientist, and project manager. He specializes in science communication and outreach, and has experience in connecting with organizations and communities in need. As a researcher, Logan has published multiple articles on antibiotic resistance and microbial pathogenesis, resulting in new insights in bacterial infections. As an educator, he has won multiple awards, and he has collaborated with educators to adapt and create novel E-learning platforms. His has worked at the community college, university, and graduate level to connect with student populations of all kinds and encourage science literacy and enthusiasm.
His current role with MCI focuses on managing internal operations such as grant proposals, development, and outreach.
Logan earned his BS in Biochemistry from the University of Kansas, and Ph.D. from the University of Oklahoma. He subsequently finished postdoctoral training at the University of Pennsylvania Department of Microbiology before joining MCI.
