Boston, Massachusetts About
Dr. Deborah Anderson is a Professor of Medicine at Boston University. Using a novel sperm-binding antibody, she and her team are engineering novel non-hormonal contraceptives for men and women alike. Our Grant
Our support of Dr. Anderson’s work utilizes their Human Contraceptive Antibody (HCA) and incorporates it into lubricants and bioadhesive polymers as a male or couples’ method of contraception. As a part of the work, compatibility, stability, and functional activity of the antibody will be tested using a simulated model. The antibody is concurrently being developed in a vaginal film and tested in first-in-human studies. |
