Thomas Garcia, PhDBaylor College of Medicine
Houston, Texas About
Dr. Garcia focuses on spermatogenesis and the male reproductive tract at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. Together with collaborators Dr. Garcia has discovered and published data on a number of genes that reveal the function of the male reproductive system as well as potential contraceptive targets. Our Grant
MCI’s support allows Dr. Garcia to not only revive the Mammalian Reproductive Genetics Database (MRGD) - a long-served tool for the reproductive biology community, but also perform a genetic analysis of infertile men to demonstrate that specific contraceptive targets are associated with infertility. These projects are important for the research community in that they help display and refresh large sets of data as well as further de-risk contraceptive targets. |
